First Baby Things

Those of you that know me well will probably be surprised to hear that I have not bought anything for our babies yet, aside from a few books to help us get ready for them. Of course I have looked at the Babies R Us website, Buy Buy Baby website and numerous other baby websites more times than I can count. And every time I go shopping, I have to do a walk through the baby section, but I have been good about refraining from buying things yet. I am dying to go crazy picking things out, but I am trying to hold off on this until our next ultrasound, which will hopefully be the gender ultrasound. The jury is still out on whether we will find out the sexes. I am still working on convincing Greg. :)
These three books will be my reading material until the babies arrive in July.
We received our first gifts for the babies on Christmas morning from Greg's sister, Meghan, and her husband, Scott. They even got a gift for mommy, too. :)
I can't wait to dress the twins in these onesies and post their picture on the blog. They were definitely worth the wait and will be double the blessings.

You can bet that Daddy will be cheering on the Cubs with the twins at the end of the summer. Maybe they will finally go to the world series this year. The twins are proof that miracles do happen.
Mommy's gift

This weekend I went to brunch with two wonderful ladies, M and K, who I was lucky enough to meet throughout my Infertility struggles. We shared many laughs and I know the friendships we have formed will last the rest of our lives. My thoughts and prayers are with them always and I hope that they will be announcing their own baby news sometime this year.
Books for babies from M. Can't wait to read them to the twins.
Thanks to all who have sent continued prayers and wishes for a happy and healthy pregnancy. We would not have made it to this point without the support of family and friends. We are truly blessed and can't wait to meet our babies in July.

  1. The Healthy Sleep Habits book is AWESOME! And so are the Leslie Patricelli books (I love all her books, especially "Potty.")
